For this project, we were to take pictures of someone and use them in a diptych and a triptych. We also learned different photo techniques like closeups, and we learned that when taking portraits, its okay to break the rule of thirds- if it makes the photograph more interesting. We also learned a new Photoshop tool- the spot healing brush. I really like this brush, because in one of my pictures, there was a woman running that I didn't notice at first, but once I did, I knew how to remove her.
I used my friend Sadie as my model, and figured out that she dislikes her face being showed.

This first diptych is Sadie at a pond in the back of my neighborhood, luckily, there were geese there, so she really wasn't looking at nothing, she was looking at the geese. I used a close up of the side of her face, and when I edited it, her hair became really dark, and it was hard to get the detail back. The second picture in the diptych is the same pose, but farther away, so you get her whole body, and the sky behind her. If you look closely enough, there is one cloud that looks like its being blown by Sadie. I really enjoyed this project and was happy with the way my diptych turned out.
This triptych is also down by the pond in my neighborhood, and I am glad I brought my bike with me, because I took lots of candid shots of Sadie, and they actually look really cool. While she does have a semi-weird face in one picture, she still looks beautiful and real instead of fake and posed. I like the top right picture the most because in it, I am breaking rule of thirds, and it makes the picture really interesting to look at. The bottom middle picture is cool because it doesn't only have Sadie in it- it has her surroundings too. I am so happy with the way these pictures turned out, and I really liked this project.
