For this project, we got to make it a little Halloween themed. We first had to learn how to use our shutter speed setting on the camera. I really learned how to change how long I could allow my shutter to stay open, and it added a lot of spooky feelings to the pictures. I also learned how my shutter speed cause the light to enter the camera more, and I ended up having to change my scenery and the amount and type of light I had in the picture.
For the first two pictures, I used my friend Sadie, and had her dance on the stage in my basement. It was really easy to control the light, and when I turned on the disco ball, Sadie's costume that she wore sparkled and ended up creating a "fairy" effect.
For the last picture, I had lit candles and put them around my front porch, to add more light to the scene. With my shutter speed so long, it was easy to have Sadie move and make it look spookier, but since it was a little darker than I had hoped for, I ended up needing those candles lit so you could actually see Sadie.
