Advanced Compostition

For our first project, we had to use advanced composition techniques. In the first picture, I used the rule of thirds, and placed three rocks together; I also used a short depth of field in this picture. I feel as though this is really effective, especially in black and white.

In this second picture, I used the rule of thirds by putting the arch in the most right section of the photograph. I also used the blur and dodge tool to bring out the detail in the stone around the arch.

In the last picture, I used a long depth of field, and had my friend Sadie, look at the statue to create a larger picture. I had a lot of fun with this shoot, and will be returning to Spring Grove Cemetery for more photography adventures.
